DIGIE

Construction has started at the museum - November 5, 2014. EL PASO – Contractors are working to erect the steel framework for the pavilion which will house Digie, the first-in-the-nation interactive digital history wall under construction at the El Paso Museum of History. Contractors have completed necessary work below ground, including concrete footings which will support the pavilion. Now, their attention is turning to the above ground structures which will welcome El Pasoans and visitors to share our community’s stories with the world. While “Digie” will foster worldwide communication when it’s complete, the job of constructing it has required global communication as well. City of El Paso project managers have worked with designers in New Zealand and manufacturers in Germany on some of the project’s components. Construction of “Digie” and the pavilion which will house it are funded by the 2012 Quality of Life Bonds.
