Socorro Misión

Nuestra Señora de la Concepción del Socorro se encuentra en la ciudad del Socorro. La misión de Socorro fue fundada en 1680, cuando los colonizadores españoles del norte de nuevo México huyeron de la sublevación del Pueblo con los nativos Piro y otras tribus. Inundaciones provocadas por el río Grande dos veces obligaron a la comunidad para la reconstrucción de la misión, el tercer y último edificio se completó en 1848. La misión, construida de adobe con estuco, la superficie es particularmente notable por su interior.
