McCall Neighborhood Center, El Paso, TX, circa 1985
El centro del barrio McCall fue la casa de Marshall McCall y Olalee McCall. Marshall McCall fue el primer repartidor de correo en El Paso. Su Esposa fue una maestra de inglés en Douglass School, la escuela solamente para Afro-Americanos en El Paso hasta 1956. En 1937, ella se convierto en la primera directora de secundario en El Paso Independent School District. Los McCalls construyeron su casa en 3231 East Wyoming Avenue con piedras. El edificio fue expandido y es casa de una marca histórica para Henry O. Flipper y Dr. Lawrence Nixon. También tiene una exposición histórica de soldados búfalo, un cuarto dedicado a Douglass School, y una biblioteca llena de libros sobre la historia Afro-Americano y la experiencia de la comunidad Afro-Fronterizo en El Paso. Este edificio histórico es el centro para la comunidad Afro-Americano.
