Jake Erlich

Muchos de nosotros sabemos de Erlich como el "hombre más alto del mundo", como el Libro Guinness de los Récords una vez lo considero. También fue un artista extraordinario. Pero su fama como pintor fue eclipsada por su fama de medir más de ocho pies de altura. Jacob Rubén Ehrlich, nacido en Denver en 1906, se mudó a El Paso con sus padres inmigrantes judíos alemanes en 1912. Nacido pequeño, a menos de cuatro libras, Erlich permaneció de tamaño normal hasta la edad de 8 años, cuando empezó a crecer rápidamente. Para cuando tenía 10 años, medía más de 6 pies de altura. Erlich fue directamente desde El Paso High School a Hollywood donde apareció en cerca de 50 películas mudas.
