San Jacinto Plaza

La escritura en la postal dice: El Paso. City Park y el Monte. Franklin Tejas. Muestra Plaza San Jacinto. A la derecha, el Hotel Orndorff se puede ver, que está en el sitio actual del edificio Cortez en la esquina de North Mesa y Mills Avenue. El Hotel fue originalmente el Vendome Hotel, pero fue adquirido por la Sra. Alzina DeGroff en 1899, que cambió el nombre a Orndorff Hotel. Ella funcionó durante más de veinticinco años, hasta 1924, cuando pidió prestado 825 mil dólares y contrató a la reconocida firma de arquitectos de El Paso Trost y Trost para diseñar un nuevo hotel. Por desgracia, la señora DeGroff no vivió para ver la terminación del edificio, que es ahora el edificio Cortez.
