La escuela primaria Dr. Sue Shook - El Paso, Tejas

El lunes 22 de enero de 2007, la Escuela Independiente de Socorro alcanzo un hito con la apertura del 38º campus nombrado en honor de una educadora de larga data, la difunta Dra. Sue A. Shook. La Dra. Shook sirvió a la comunidad de aprendizaje cerca de 30 años, proporcionando liderazgo sobresaliente en el estado y la nación, trayendo atención a la educación durante todo el año y siendo instrumental en los programas de preparación del maestro. Desde que abrió sus puertas en julio de 2007, la Dra. Sue Shook Elementary ha sido reconocida por el estado, la región y el distrito por sus logros académicos estudiantiles e innovación de los programas académicos para acelerar el aprendizaje.   El edificio, que se encuentra en un sitio de 25 acres, alberga a 930 estudiantes y sigue aliviando la creciente población en el área de la ciudad de Horizon.
