6 de agosto de 2016 - Corte de cinta de la exposición del Museo: "Bienvenidos a casa veteranos de Vietnam de El Paso: Un homenaje y reconocimiento a nuestros veteranos de guerra de Vietnam" Acosta, Representante de la Ciudad, Dist. 3 y la Srta. Patti Olivas, las creadores de este evento, crearon un Comité de Bienvenida a los Veteranos de Vietnam. El comité está compuesto por más de 15 veteranos y organizaciones comunitarias cívicas, entidades gubernamentales, ciudadanos y empresas. En 2015, el evento Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans de El Paso fue designado como socio de la 50ª conmemoración de guerra de Vietnam del Departamento de Defensa y reconoce su asociación con la Ciudad de El Paso - Oficina del Representante de la Ciudad Emma Acosta, Dist. 3 como un socio conmemorativo oficial.
