La Academia de Policía de El Paso
La selección de reclutas de policía para la Academia de Policía de El Paso es un proceso que normalmente toma hasta seis meses. El proceso incluye un examen escrito, una prueba de agilidad física, una investigación de antecedentes, un polígrafo, una entrevista oral del consejo, y exámenes médicos y psicológicos. Una vez seleccionado, la Academia de Policía dura siete meses y los reclutas son introducidos al Código Penal de Texas, al Código de Procedimiento Penal y a las políticas y procedimientos del departamento. Los reclutas también reciben varios regímenes de aptitud física, tácticas defensivas y clases de proficiencia de armas de fuego.
