Jonathan Rogers

Jonathan Rogers fue presidente municipal de El Paso durante cuatro periodos continuos, también fue el fundador, miembro del consejo y director ejecutivo de Bank of the West. Rogers fue graduado de la escuela de administración de la universidad de Yale en 1950, fue condiscípulo del presidente George Bush (padre), Rogers practicó y compitió en atletismo representando a la Universidad de Yale, destacando en saltos de vallas. Un artículo publicado en la revista Time en 1985, dice que Rogers prohibió que los hombres de El Paso, usaran sacos y corbatas desde fines de mayo hasta principios de Septiembre (periodo que abarca desde la celebración de Memorial Day hasta Labor Day), por las temperaturas tan altas que se registran en el verano. Recomendó a los hombres que utilizaran camisas tipo guayabera y les cortaba las corbatas a los que se presentaran con ellas ante el.
