William H. Fryer - El Paso, Tejas
William H. Fryer, AFSC (Affiliated Member of the Brother of the Christian Schools) (1880-1963) El Abogado criminalista William Henry Fryer nacio en Brooklyn, Nueva York y allí mismo fue educado por Lasallistas. Vino por primera vez a El Paso para recuperase de una fiebre tifoidea; regresando más tarde ya para quedarse tras haber titulado en derecho de la Universidad de Tejas en Austin. Fryer practico el derecho como funcionario del condado y el Gobierno Federal antes de iniciar su práctica privada. Combatió los bares llamados “speakeasies” durante la prohibición, al igual que los especuladores de alimentos durante la Primera Guerra Mundial y el dominio del Ku Klux Klan sobre el consejo escolar durante la década de los veintes. Auxilio a los Lasallistas que buscaron refugio en los Estados Unidos durante la persecución religiosa de México. Después abogo para que los hermanos Lasallistas fueran elegidos para la nueva preparatoria Cathedral H.S. Fryer fue miembro de los Caballeros de Colon y fue fundador de la Organización de Hombres Católicos de El Paso.
