The Weight Room
The current Weight Room was formerly the Girls Gym from 1916 through 1965 when the CD Jarvis Gymnasium was then opened. The Weight Room is essentially the same design as the former Boys Gym which occupied the same space on the Virginia Street wing of the xhol building. Until the CD Jarvis Gym was opened, basketball games, dance programs, tumbling, and other gym activities were observed by spectators on a narrow mezzanine overlooking the gym floor.
