Tema Williamsburg; año 1961-62 Reina Edith White; el tema y la presidenta para este crédito del acontecimiento van a la Sra. Robert Given y la Sra. Ellis Mayfield. El cuerpo de pífanos y de tambores fueron volados por avión desde Virginia. El Sun Bowl es un partido de fútbol americano anual universitario de los Estados Unidos cual es por lo general jugado al final de diciembre en El Paso, Texas. Los primeros tres fueron jugados en el estadio de la escuela Bachilleres de El Paso (1935–1937) ahora es jugado en el campus del estadio de La Universidad de Texas en El Paso. El desfile anual de Acción de Gracias en El Paso es nombrado por el Sun Bowl.
