La coronación de la Reina del Sol
La coronación de la Reina del Sol ha sido parte del Sun Bowl desde el primer partido del Sun Bowl que tuvo la universidad que se jugó en 1936, ha desempeñado un importante papel social en el "Carnaval del Sol", el espectáculo que dura una seamana asociado con el Sun Bowl. Las princesas y la reina sirvieron como embajadoras para la ciudad de El Paso. Ruth Staten fue la primera reina en 1936 y Rebecca Gutiérrez la Reina del Sol reinante del 2014. El evento de coronación 1961-62 tema Williamsburg. Presidenta Sra. Robert Given y la Sra. Ellis Mayfield. .. Los muebles de la exhibición fueron donados al Museo de El Paso por la Sra. Ruth Schwartz Zork que fueron los muebles de sus padres Adolph y Fannie Schwartz, los abuelos de La Sra.
