Allen Mills was born Edgar Allen Mills on Jan. 28, 1844 in Thornton, Indiana. His brother, Anson Mills, was one of the founding members of El Paso and actually named the city El Paso. During the civil war, Allen Mills was a private assigned to G Company, 55th Indiana Infantry until 1862. Mills died on Sep. 28, 1924 and is buried in Thornton, Indiana. He appears to have a mustache, not to thick and his hair is short in length, dark and with a bit of a receding hairline.
