Jefferson W. Hall

Jefferson W. Hall was born in Greenville, South Carolina, in 1827. Jefferson moved to Missouri and afterwards to the lone star state. Jefferson served in the Mexican War and settled in El Paso County. He was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 1857, reelected in 1859 and 1863. In the Texas House he served as Chair for Indian Affairs and Privileges and Elections. ⁣ ⁣ Jefferson was unmarried. He was regarded as “faithful and attentive and obliging he is universally successful in matters wherein his constituency are interested.’ ⁣ ⁣ In masonry, he was a member of El Paso Lodge # 130 A.F. & A.M. and served as the first tiler of the lodge. ⁣
