Are you kidding me this is is the type of stuff that will not only encourage our customs and traditions but also bring more out of towners to recognize our beautiful city

I wish El Paso stopped demolishing its history. This would have been amazing to visit.

Miss Elizabeth Kelly began career in this library.

El Paso Public Library-Main Library

Main Library, constructed 1954, replaced original Carnegie building, which was demolished in 1958. This building was hailed as a perfect example of the "Southwest-style" of architecture.

Building Faces Oregon Street. Some parts were designed to serve citizens as Civil Defense shelter.
