This is the most beautiful woman, both inside and out, that I have ever known. I have never looked up to or respected anyone more than I have her. She was loving and dedicated, she was warm, and strong and wise. She was my best friend. She is my Mom ! I'm so proud to see you here. You live on inside of me and I Love You so much. ♡

I attended this school in 1966 Great memories My full name Maria del Carmen Alvarado Brothers Javier y Juan my little sister Estela. Lots of friends. Delia Gutierrez one my best with Irma Juarez. Miss those days .

I went to Franklin for 1st and 2nd grades. I lived on Charles Rd. The name of my 1st grade teacher was Ms. Rodarte. She was tall, slender, and beautiful. Sure wish I could find her.. My good friend who also went to Franklin was Rosaura Alcala. Beautiful memories.

I went to the modern version I guess? Head start and I guess I must have been 5 years old. 1966? I was born in Vowell Clinic, segundo barrio but lived in Juarez till it was time for me to start school. There wasn’t any room for me so was going to miss the school year. Few months had passed and the principal came to our house. He tells mom that a kid had left and now I could attend. Mom thought I would be behind. Especially since I didn’t speak English. Anyway I was enrolled. He comes back to talk to mom. She thought I would be kicked out. Nope. He took her to hear me speak English. I read, “This is my truck!” Still have my class picture. It was snowing!

My family lived in south El Paso street. I walked to and from Franklin Elementary School. Back then the school only had grades first through fourth. After that we were bused to San Jacinto Elementary School to attend fifth grade. This school was located on Olive street. While at Franklin I was selected to be a Patrol Boy. During that time a group of us were selected to represent Franklin school at a Saturday kids tv program on KROD Station. I think the show was called the Red Barn. We were all proud since we had came out on TV. Those were the good old days.

Our family lived on south El Paso St. I attended grades first to fourth at Franklin Elementary School. Since that was the last grade available we were then bused to San Jacinto to attend the 5th grade. I remember being a Patrol Boy and a group of us from Franklin were selected to attend a local children's TV show (I believe the show was called the Red Barn and it aired on Saturday mornings). Our group was being recognized as students from Franklin Elementary school. Those were the days.

I attended this school in 1957 to1960. Walked about 6 blocks to get to school and was only 6. I loved my years there. We ate a porcupine the staff caught on the school ground. I attended Aoy afterwards.

I was about 8 years old when I attended Franklin school, around 1959? I was in the third grade, I think? I’m trying to think of my teacher’s name? Anybody remember who the teacher was in 68 or 69, third grade? Please let me know. She was an Angel!

My family lived on 306 West Overland. Which is now the only surviving building in that area. I went to Franklin elementary school from the 1st grade to the 3grade. Unfortunately I don't remember anything but getting into trouble for not attending school. The truant officer was always picking me up and escorting me to class. Not the best student.

This was my school in the 3d grade! Mrs. Hall was my teacher, bless her heart. There was a corner store across the street where I bought a ring for a girl I liked at school. The school may not be there but the building that housed the store is still there, apparently fenced in with the rest of the block ready to be demolished. Great memories. We are now in January of 2023. How time flies!

Looking for friends from back in the 60s dont remember last names only names
