Jackson Polk - Film Producer

El Paso native Jackson (Jack) Polk spent 27 years in Washington, D.C., where he was a full-time TV technician and news cameraman. In the 1980s, he formed his own TV production company in Washington, providing satellite news services for many foreign networks covering U.S. news. Wendy and Jackson moved to El Paso in 1997, and Wendy is now the editor of the weekly business and lifestyle journal, El Paso Inc. The couple’s 25-year-old son, Andrew, is a 2011 graduate of Knox College in Illinois, and a fulltime TV reporter at ABC7 KVIA TV in El Paso. Jackson has produced more than 50 historical videos, including more than a dozen about the history and heritage of the El Paso region. Jackson appeared on the History Channel in December 2010 on Brad Meltzer’s Decoded as an expert on the US Capitol Cornerstone. Jackson is also the producer and co-host of the El Paso History Radio Show, which airs live from 10 am to noon Saturdays on KTSM-AM 690 in El Paso and now streams live worldwide on the internet.
