Mural at Centro de Salud Familiar La Fe

This Jesus figure is part of a larger mural which covers the walls of the Centro de Salud Familiar La Fe at 1225 E. Yandell Drive. The figure of Jesus is likely based on the statue on top of Mount Cristo Rey. In 2009 the figure was all white; in 2010 it was painted. It is not clear why Jesus is wearing a scarf and a hoodie. The Centro de Salud Familiar La Fe provides health care to disadvantaged Hispanic families in El Paso. The mural and sculpture was done by Cesar Inostroza. This sculpture was done to pay homage to the Mt. Cristo Rey monument, I wanted to bring my version of the sculpture to the elderly who could not make the pilgramage.
