The picture shows the tower of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission (Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe). It was founded by Fray Garcia de San Francisco in 1659 as an attempt to Christianize the Manso Indians who lived in this region. From 1662 to 1668, a permanent mission was built.
