Stanton, a member of the Current Topics Club, establishes the first children’s library in the United States. Meckins (Mrs. Wilkins), Mrs. Disbro (Mrs. Lomax), Mrs. Smythe. Ella Wilkins became principal of El Paso High School (first location) in 1886.
