Inducted in 2017 Represented Team Mexico in World Boys Baseball tournaments in Mexico City in 1986 and Nagoya Japan in 1989 Pitcher on Socorro High School Sweet 16 Finalist Pitcher on Socorro High School team that went undefeated and made history by going 16-0 in District 2-5A Earned scholarship to Cochise Junior College Earned scholarship to University of New Mexico In 1996 at the age of 22 drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates Advanced through Pirates farm system before deciding to take time off from baseball to be by his mother’s side during her last days dealing with cancer Signed and played for the Juarez Indios, Dorados de Chihuahua, Faraones de Casas Grandes Signed and played with Guerreros de Oaxaca of the Mexican League in 2000 Father Luis and Mom Paula
