Aaron Jones picked in the NFL Draft - 2017 - Aaron Jones second from left of the image. With the 182nd overall pick, and 39th in the 5th round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers have selected UTEP running back Aaron Jones. Jones, the Miners all-time leading rusher and All-American, ran for 4,114 yards in his UTEP career to go along with 33 career rushing touchdowns. The 5’9, 208 pound playmaker is the second straight UTEP running back to be drafted joining Marcus Thomas, and he’s also just the fourth Miner drafted since the 2008 Draft in which three UTEP players were drafted.
