Brother Amedy Long (1914-1984) Brother Cecilian Amedy (Joseph Long), a native of New Orleans, joined the Christian Brothers while in high school. During the first 26 years of his teaching career, he taught at Lasallian schools in New Mexico, Louisiana, and Texas (Cathedral High School 1941-1943).
