Pasos Urbanos: A Photographic Narrative of Downtown Borderland Culture is an exhibition composed of images submitted by artists living within a 150-mile radius of Downtown El Paso, including our sister city Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México. This showcase of photographs documents urban life in both El Paso and Juárez. This includes the bustle of the everyday, the color and joy of local downtown events and festivals, and the celebrated architecture that makes “el centro” a unique and thriving hub of cultural heritage. Image Description: A photo of a woman and child walking past a bus. The image shows a bus that is painted white with light blue stripes. The front of the bus is a light blue color. On the left a woman is shown wearing a magenta dress with blue, yellow and purple details. A blue belt is wrapped around the wrist. The woman is wearing a white head wrap that has pink, green and blue details. She is wearing brown sandals. She is wearing a black backpack with the image of Hello Kitty on it. The woman carries a white plastic bag with a box of Trix cereal in it. Behind the woman, a young girl follows. The young girl is wearing the same magenta dress as the woman. The girl is wearing gray sandals. She holds a bright pink toy in her hand. The girl is also wearing a magenta head wrap that matches the color of the dress.
