Franklin B. Sexton
Franklin Barlow Sexton was born in New Harmony, Indiana on April 29, 1828. Barlow was a Confederate legislator. He served many roles and was elected to the Texas Senate. He moved in with his daughter after his wife’s death. In El Paso, he was appointed a judge on the state Supreme Court. He affiliated with El Paso Lodge # 130 A.F. & A.M. and El Paso Commandery No. 18. More notably, he became the Grand Commander of Knights Templar of Texas in 1870. He died in El Paso, Texas. Most of his books were donated to the Masonic bodies. Image Description: A sepia image shows a portrait of Franklin B. Sexton from his chest up.
