Annual Sun Bowl Parade - State National Bank - 1959

The Sun Bowl was chartered in 1934 making it the second oldest college bowl game. In celebration of the game, soon thereafter, an annual parade was established. The image shows the Sun Bowl Parade in 1959.

Image Description:This photo shows the annual Sun Bowl Parade that happened before every game. The float in this picture is decorated as a steam boat from the 1800s, and there are men and women in that stye of clothing. The Sun Bowl began in 1934, making it one of the oldest Bowl games in the U.S. The parade in this picture is going by the First Baptist Church building.
