Pancho Villa and rebel (male and female) riders (circa 1905)
My grandfather, George Elliott Drake (1877-1947) sold chickens and did horseshoeing work for Pancho Villa and his riders as illustrated in these pictures he took. Original pictures were donated to the CHICKASAW CUTURAL CENTER (867 Cooper Memorial Drive) at the Holisso Museum in Sulphur, Oklahoma under the name of Maggie May Poff, wife of George Elliott Drake. She was the 1st Native American Indian Registered Nurse in the United States and retired from the El Paso City/County Hospital.
