This picture was taken in 1976 and captures the moment when the Christmas tree is installed in front of the Plaza Hotel to show the building height is finished. The Hotel was built in 1929/30 by Henry C. Trost and was the Hilton Hotel until 1963. Once, it was one of the city's most luxurious hotels. It operated until 1991.
