Tony Lama Sr. arrived as a cobbler at Ft. Bliss with the U.S. Cavalry in early 1900s. Seeing needs of military and local ranchers he opened first shop on Overland St. in downtown El Paso, TX. Business grew into Tony Lama Company Inc. He was father of six.
