Stanton, a member of the Current Topics Club, establishes the first children’s library in the United States. Mr. Calvin Esterly, a retired Army officer and West Point graduate, was El Paso's first Superintendent of Schools. First row: Fannie Echols (Mrs. Leigh Clark), Mary I.
